According to analysts, the Delta Variant of Covid-19 could become a threat to the recovery of the United States. The highly contagious strain was first identified in India, and it has become the most dominant strain all across the world and is gripping the people in the United States. If the infection rates continue to grow persistently in the US, then there could be additional risks to the businesses, either by reduced footfall or stricter restrictions.
If restrictions turn out to be as challenging as they were back in the year 2020, then Unemployment rates would grow for further support for the unemployed that would grow too. There are no new plans to expand the policy of Unemployment benefits past their listed end in September.
At first, the scheme started under the American Rescue Plan. It gives out an extra $300 every week in support of the unemployed people, especially those who have lost their work and suffered during this pandemic. They were already planned to end on September 6, 2021.
Some 26 states have invalidated the benefits early, arguing that they covered up the unemployed people from re-joining the workforce or looking out for new jobs, although this claim is uncertain. And after they took out from the federal plan, many have encountered legal problems after the residents had confronted the states in court. Some states have also agreed to continue the payments until the federal end.
