Doctors Warn About Different Symptoms of Delta Variant

As the concerns have grown regarding the spread of the Delta Variant across the globe, health officials are warning about slightly different symptoms that come along with it.The Centre for Disease Control and Prevention has reported drastic increases in the number of people infected with Covid-19 all across the country.

As hospitals have been filling up with younger and unvaccinated patients of Covid-19, doctors are getting worried that there are new symptoms that people should watch for as the highly infectious Delta Variant is spreading speedily.

Doctors Warn About Different Symptoms of Delta VariantDr. George Monks explained in a tweet that the Delta Variant has somewhat different symptoms than the original virus. One may not get the loss of taste or smell. The Delta Variant could cause cough, shortness of breath, fever, body aches, congestion, and more.The doctor has requested the people to get themselves tested if they experience these symptoms.Many patients may not realize that they have Covid-19 until their symptoms exaggerate, without a test being conducted according to the doctors.

Some common symptoms of Covid-19 include fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty in breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion, runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea, according to the CDC.Experts have stressed that the spreads very quickly, and it takes significantly less of the virus to make someone sick. The Delta Variant, a version of the coronavirus identified in India, was detected in the United States in January. It is now spreading in more than 90 countries.
